Its easy to take Silicon Valley for granted. Ive written a little bit about the origins of Silicon Valley because I think its important for us to understand how we got here in order to make sure we preserve what is best about our community. I spent most of my time with TechStars, who were my hosts for the trip.

Posted by Stefano Bernardi On June - 21 - 2010 It’s a known fact that seed capital is very scarce in Italy. Hosting: pay-as-you-go cloud servers, mostly free in the beginning. Even with company registration and some serious hosting for the first few months you can still make it under $10K at the beginning.

I don’t know of an opensource or hosted version of Kickstarter. I have 2 options: set up a new startup or share my idea with google (or maybe another big silicon valley’s company). How can we attract attention from investors and press in silicon valley without moving there? seems like you’ll need to build it.
