I wrote this on my flight home from f.ounders & web summit in Dublin, Ireland late last year. I recently returned from a 5-day visit to Ireland, my first time back in 10 years and the start of what I hope will be a more regular travel schedule there. It was the best 5 days of networking I spent last year.

Hairy dentists / Pig farmers – I told the story last night how when I set up my first company the seed investor was a pig farmer from Ireland. It helps that my first company was actually founded in Ireland! How much to raise?

We had recently shared the digital media trends for your brands in 2016 , and some of the changes recommended by Facebook, seem to be playing into those totally! These are the new social media trends for brand success in 2016. These are reminiscent of MySpace and other social media networks which have allowed Gifs/ videos in the past.

For Northern Ireland, I think the lasting value of the event is not the content delivered, the fun experienced, or even the many videos that will eventually be posted. The community that came together might be a new one for Northern Ireland. I’m not the best person to comment on The Troubles that have beset Northern Ireland.
