At this stage you’re essentially selling yourself and your cofounders. Pre-launch funding is pretty common in Silicon Valley, but that’s a unique case. But to get that Silicon Valley angel funding you have to be part of that social network; most of the rest of the world doesn’t have that frothy environment.

The funny part is that I didn’t realize Eventbrite had male cofounders since Women 2.0 always spotlighted Julie Hartz, cofounder and wife of Kevin. I liked hearing the who’s who of Silicon Valley in his stories, but more importantly he had really good take aways. Keep a watch out!

In Silicon Valley, rock climbing’s a current hot spot for startup folks. SVASE or Founder Dating in Silicon Valley, First Tuesday in London and Hackers and Founders in New York all come to mind. To be blunt, find a way to move to Silicon Valley. So is ultimate frisbee. Find your ticket.
