Airbnb learned its audience used Craigslist to list and search for accommodation. Don’t cast your net too far and wide. Use qualitative customer surveys and gather Net Promoter Score feedback to understand user intent and friction. Use Net Promoter Score to establish how likely your customers are to recommend you.

Not net profit, just value. Consuming the content at VS All Access improves my perception of the Victoria's Secret brand and perhaps even makes me a Net Promoter (something so precious to the company). To answer that question I signed up for an affiliate account with Amazon and added my affiliate id to the outbound link.

Many tools designed for B2B marketing in general are also relevant to investors. I previously posted a detailed presentation with sales technology tools useful for B2B sales. Coalesce address the more general problem of searching through large data sets for best fits. TruthFinder and Intelius provide basic background vetting.

I did a search on some of their products and they did not have page one search listings (on Google or Bing) for what should be their head terms. There should be one link: Search for Hotel or Make Reservation! What are the things they search for? Google's Search-based Keyword Tool. That's sucking.)

Soul searching, questions to torture vendors with, comparing vendors, running a pilot and negotiating a contract, it's all in there. The best WA report, segmentation, site search, SEO & PPC analysis, email, rich media, cookies, data sampling. Especially people outside our analytics / search circle. I am out of breath!

For example, if a high number of visitors comes from organic search and very little come from paid search, you can look at shifting ad budget over to SEO. Traffic from direct links, such as an affiliate link or news source. High referral traffic is an indication of strong affiliate links or media coverage.
