That excitement took a sharp downhill turn when one of the top partners said to me, in front of my co-founders, “When are you going to get a real CEO?”. Marc and I discussed this often.

In a 2007 report, the Council on Competitiveness quoted a USA Today survey revealing that, “ of venture-backed software startups created since 1999, nearly 40% have employees outside the United States.”. This is no longer the case.
