One of my favorite business turnarounds is the story of the founders of WhatsApp. Airbnb struggled to attract investors when it first began in 2008, requiring founders Brian Chesky and Joe Gebbia to manufacture bespoke cereal boxes to earn money. Ron Wayne, the third Apple founder, was also an Atari alumni.
