I had a recent email dialog with the founder of a company looking for a CTO for their startup. Did they really need a Startup CTO or Developer or both? And do I fit as a Part-Time CTO , Technology Advisor , CTO Founder , Acting CTO ? He needed some kind of CTO and as well Developers.

Finding Technical Cofounders Is Hard. Tuesday, August 17, 2010. Yesterday, Michael Pope posted an article titled Technical Cofounders Are a Myth. He argued that software engineers don’t finish what they start, and that you’re better off paying a technical person than partnering with one.

The number two thing is lack of a technical co-founder. Partner with a Programmer After they have their big idea, most non-technical founders set forth to find an engineer to form a partnership. To find a programmer who will simply share equity with you, you need two things. First, you need a very good pitch.

None of us though that on Sept 1, 2010, our lives would be changed forever. I embarked on my journey in October 2010 while still working a full time job. I wrote my web copy myself, did my web design myself and officially launched in October 2010. We lost my brother Matthew to suicide, while he was living in NYC.
