For a well-funded seed company I have controversially recommended hiring a great office manager that doubles as an administrative assistant. This happens because many CEOs are passionate, market-driven people who are constantly trying to launch new products, win contracts, get press, hire staff and woo VCs. Hire a great CFO.

According to Incapsula “threat landscape report” , search bot impersonation was detected in 60% of the DDoS attacks in 2014 but only in 1% of those in 2015! Google and Baidu impersonators bots – 2015 compared to 2014. However, the use of this practice has almost entirely disappeared, all at once. More recent data shows this clearly.

Early in a services business there is usually no profits as the company reinvests in hiring people to grow, but by $20 million in sales the company should at least be pulling in 10% profits (if not more) depending on how much is reinvested. You own the IP you create. That is $12 million in profits over 3 years. But it might not.
