I call it drip-financing. Most entrepreneurs have no choice but to avail of this sort of financing along with the mentoring and the contacts that could come with it (doesn't always come along, though). In 1M/1M, our preferred financing strategy is customers. Because customer financing equals revenue, not equity.

Their firm, Andreessen/Horowtiz , has been prescient enough to invest in social networks, consumer and mobile applications and the cloud long before others. THIS is how absurd things have gotten: “I have to raise at a billion-dollar valuation” “Why? You don’t have the revenue or profit to support that valuation.” Can it be that Silicon Valley (the HBO show) isn’t farcical enough? That is how absurd thing have gotten. No, I take that back.
