I’ve been online for nearly 30 years (yes, there was CompuServe and Prodigy before the www), blogging for 10 and using social media tools since the earliest days. I love to watch networks evolve, see how crowds gather and communicate and curate and share. Social Media. Of course there was good and bad to this also. Half Lives.

In my last post I pointed out that many of the media commentators who have criticized the YouTube video network companies as not having strong businesses were mistaken. People aren’t going to fundamentally change their media consumption patterns just as consumers don’t fundamentally change their diets.

This is true whether it’s physical products or media products.
