Our industry just took one big step towards legitimacy with the hiring of renowned media exec Ynon Kreiz to run Maker Studios. Another major hire was Ryan Lissack who joined as CTO. Needless to say I think Ryan is one of the most talented engineering leads in LA but I’d stack him against anybody in the Valley, too.

” We talked about my influences as a younger person and what got me started in technology and entrepreneurship. It was all technical. She was paid much more than me and no matter how technical I was, they saw me as the business guy because I graduated with a degree in economics. it would make more sense than “me.”

At this stage you’re essentially selling yourself and your cofounders. High growth startup companies need seed money to get things going.

The funny part is that I didn’t realize Eventbrite had male cofounders since Women 2.0 always spotlighted Julie Hartz, cofounder and wife of Kevin. I liked hearing the who’s who of Silicon Valley in his stories, but more importantly he had really good take aways. Keep a watch out!
