It’s also the largest online shopping day in China and the news this morning is that Alibaba racked up $1bn of sales in the first 17mins 58s, and $2bn in the first hour. In comparison, sales for the whole of Cyber Monday in the US last year were $2.3bn. Back to Alibaba – $1bn of sales in 18mins is just phenomenal.
