API stands for Application Data Interface. We use APIs on a daily bases, but we do not realize it. What is the role of the API? An API takes requests and tells the system what you want it to do, and then it returns the system response back to you. APIs are used everywhere. How are APIs used in Cryptocurrency?

BlackBerry DevCon Asia 2011 will be held in Bangkok, Thailand this year. We have quite an open platform, that allows any registered developer to take advantage of our APIs, tools, services, etc. We have partnered with existing developer communities, including academic communities to offer developer days and workshops.

The team lead did some work already on the backend so I just had to call an API and parse the JSON file. One sponsor Betable says they’ve legalized gambling and you can use their APIs (read fine print, not really true for U.S.). At the end of the day, we had semi things working, but still lots of stuff.

CEO hinted to WSJ that it may go public in early 2011. SimpleGeo provides sites with LBS databases and tool sets (such as SpotRank ), while also helping sites warehouse and analyze the large volumes of generated LBS data; all services and data accessible through simple APIs. The SimpleGeo API will provide you access to these services.

For example, you probably didn't notice that on April 27, 2011, the President issued Executive Order 13571, with the sonorous title "Streamlining Service Delivery and Improving Customer Service." And it's unlocking the creativity of citizens to make things better - whether they work in government or just build on its open API's.

One of the best parts of participating in the hackathon was talking to folks making cool things on top of our API. They also used a ton of other APIs from folks like Twitter , Twilio , US Census data, MTA, venmo , and many more. Its also great to have a product focussed company that prides itself on putting out full fledged APIs.
