Others take bets on certain verticals or business models, such as marketplaces, SaaS, or enterprise technology. Internet-connected computing is an innovation wave on par with a few historical developments of the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. Internet-connected computing as we know it is a bit over two decades old at this point.

This kind of innovation would be hard to find in a traditional Chinese Internet company as usually they are copying others, copying those from the US and UK to bring them back to China. They don’t have a good IP (intellectual property) to defend their technology. Don’t threaten the Chinese Internet giants.
