Again the easiest way is to trust that IP, though security-minded people will probably want to shoot me for suggesting it. If the title makes no sense to you, PostgreSQL is an open-source database. Why Bucardo? Then we add a sync. | GABRIEL WEINBERG MAY 21, 2010 Duck Duck Go Searches Are Now Externally Anonymous IP addresses are not stored. Since you are no longer making the request on your side, your IP address isn't being sent to them at all. Duck Duck Go searches have been internally anonymous for a while. Neither are full user agents.[1] For more info, check out the privacy policy. The meta page is sent in memory via the nginx echo module. | | | | | | | | | | -
GABRIEL WEINBERG | MONDAY, AUGUST 9, 2010 A new approach to mobile search All searches are preformed over an encrypted connection (https/SSL), your search strings are not shared with the sites you click on, and no IP addresses are stored on our servers. The new DuckDuckGo App is up on iTunes (and is iPad compatible). Android and BlackBerry versions are also in the works. The DDG app also protects your privacy. MORE >> -
GABRIEL WEINBERG | SATURDAY, JUNE 11, 2011 On weird botnet traffic As you may know, DuckDuckGo does not save IPs (here's how ). Botnets keep sending DuckDuckGo weirder and weirder traffic, and frankly I don't get it. For a while now I've seen a lot of requests like these: [link] [link] I suppose those forms make some sense. computer will pop-up and will just start hammering on the query. Sysadmin MORE >> -
GABRIEL WEINBERG | TUESDAY, JULY 20, 2010 Weird eHow Web spam as an A record, which is different than the redirect IP. fnboelwein.com redirects to [link] As does bankofelgin.com. If you actually go to the link, you get this message at the top: Hi There! bankofelgin.com isn't available, but you're still in a good place -- ehow.com. We think we might have what you're looking for. Doubt it. Maybe I should. MORE >> -
GABRIEL WEINBERG | MONDAY, MAY 3, 2010 Will the real standard terms please stand up? They also vary on side-agreements they want to you sign, e.g. employment/ IP/vesting agreements, etc. I got a lot of feedback from my post on liquidation preference (some constructive, some very critical). This post essentially addresses those criticisms and makes some new points about seed financing. And even then I'm an outsider/outlier. MORE >>
