Enable Google Analytics tracking. You just have to sign up for Google Analytics, get your account number, and plug it into your site. Dont worry about selecting particularly good keywords, if youre new to SEM. Use Googles built-in Analytics/AdWords integration, to track the effectiveness of each ad you run.
