FBe's recommendation was (paraphrasing a 35 min talk): Don't invent new metrics, use online versions of Reach and GRPs to measure success. Compute ROI: (cost of Facebook campaigns + salary of people running campaigns + agency creative costs) vs. profit from incremental product sales. Metrics are a problem.

First off, I couldn't actually afford to go anywhere on a startup salary. Get your PR pitches out. Get a designer to class up all your materials. I'm stunned at how few entrepreneurs take the time to get a graphic designer to do their pitch deck for them. Second, there was way too much to do. Where should you be speaking?

Pay attention to your metrics, because a company will build what the CEO measures. For SaaS companies, we found that MRR is the best metric on which to base sales commissions. I have just finished designing a SaaS comp plan and my thinking is very similar. However, it does not mention whether there is a base salary associated with the plan and if so what it is. Is there a base salary? at 11:17 AM.
