In fact, I encouraged my favorite IM aggregator client, Digsby , to go the opposite direction and become a Twitter client also. As people consume Twitter on mobile clients they are almost definitionally not doing so on Twitter.com. Specifically we encouraged vertical applications like financial services and healthcare.
