So what does CTO mean, besides just "technical founder who really cant manage anyone?" So I initially gravitated to the CTO title, and not VP of Engineering.

I chose AWS because it offers so many different services, from hosting to databases to payments (FPS) to content delivery (CloudFront) - even e-commerce fulfillment (FWS). I chose Amazon Web Services to be our marquee reward, and not just for the obvious reason that so many of you are - right this very moment – already hosting on AWS EC2.

As a last disclaimer, please consult the definition of the word hacker if youre not familiar with the controversies surrounding that term.) Its common to find a hacker at the heart of almost any successful technology company. Hire a CTO or VP Engineering. I would love to have an effective CTO or VP of Engineering to manage me.

Speaking from experience: My mate paid someone to build him a database-driven website. In addition to showing him what to do, I also pointed out the vulnerabilities and demonstrated how easy it was to login into the admin area of his site without knowing any username or password or database table or column names.
