Maybe the CEO got his cousin from Omaha to be their lawyer or theres been some serious messing around with the cap table. I actually once had a very non-technical recruiter try to give me a technical interview (including coding) over the phone. If you get an option grant for a million shares and youre employee 25, something is funky.
