I bought the Rocket eBook Reader in 1999. Both products were innovative leaders. We think it’s a matter of products, but history shows us it takes more than just products and technology to create the sweeping changes. I think I’m an innovator myself, but I know I’m not an opinion leader.

When I built my first company starting in 1999 it cost $2.5 Open-Source Software & Horizontal Computing. It was driven by the introduction of open-source software, most notably what was called the LAMP stack. Open source became a movement – a mentality. These are very different.
