I spent my first seventeen years in a city where there were just three major TV channels, three major newspapers, and no Internet. When each of the other six waves initially arrived, the early adopters were the more agile outliers. You live it, you’re immersed in it. But let me take a minute to contrast it with the world I grew up in.
