My own experience with street harassment is what inspired part of the mapping feature on MySideKick called Safety Pin. For about a year and a half, I worked in downtown Detroit and it was a 10-minute walk to and from my office. Get to know them and work with them over a period of time before fully committing. Don’t be in a rush.
