Developer, engineer, CTO, or technical co-founder? When I say viable, I mean something that can generate sales. Where we disagree is how finished the technology needs to be. Groupon made money with their blog and spreadsheet, and it had zero technology. the nice thing is that to start, THEY PAY the consultant for you.

Do a curl (or your.NET equivalent) on each domain, and see how many are running a Windows server: I think you’ll find the fraction very small. I also know someone else who consulted me about his website idea. I am a Ruby on Rails programmer and have written the first line of code for a few startups. Well as a programmer of many websites I find that it is easier for my clients to consult my ideas first. I do consult people, however I am not looking for work right now.
