Mari is now building a new venture in human-machine interaction within the Samsung accelerator, currently in stealth mode. Her work included heading Nokia’s location-based services business and app portfolio for emerging markets, which she built from a back-of-a-napkin idea to a 100-person organization with over 10 million users.

Depending on how stealthy you plan to be (and there are pros and cons for being in stealth mode ), it’s good to have a public record of the company by generating some press. Across the NextView portfolio and in discussing this topic more broadly, we’ve found that funding announcements are rarely good customer acquisition channels.
