So I initially gravitated to the CTO title, and not VP of Engineering. I would love to see some blog posts on any experiences you have had with set-based design. I feel reminded of one of Jerry Weinberg's laws of consulting: Regardless of what it might look like at first, it's always a people problem. Great piece!
