In 2012, 268K angels invested in 67K entrepreneurial ventures, according to the 2012 Angel Market Analysis released by the Center for Venture Research at the University of New Hampshire. However, those angels constitute only about 5% of the estimated 5.1 million households in the US with a net worth of $1 million or more.
