They have an obvious trade-off between a big “pop” (great media coverage and morale boost) versus more cash proceeds. If they have worked in business for 20 years, you have an 700-1 experience differential right out of the gate. If the founder (or any member of Party A) participates in the IPO, they do NOT even receive the issue price.
