For those that don’t know, I live in downtown Oakland which has been one of the protest flashpoints. Beyond my own personal fear, I received a call from my friend, a young Black man who lives above that Target and works in finance at Google. To be frank, it felt scary and dystopian. That is true now. We volunteer to run point.

Make sure someone is thinking about overarching plans around PR, marketing and sales and spends time crafting the right messages, understanding audiences and figuring out distribution channels.
