Large private equity funds like KKR can afford to pursue a consulting model ( Capstone ), typically with associated fees, but that doesn’t normally make economic sense for a VC. We think coaching is a key lever for doing this, with our own team or through outside partners. We have lower AUM, therefore lower management fees.

Benchmark Capital and existing investors including Mangrove Capital Partners and Bessemer Venture Partners funded the round for future product development, likely for iPad related Flash content (more here ). An undisclosed round in stealth startup ToyToyToy, which offers an online service that links websites for actual toys.
