Want to Know Difference Between a CTO and a VP of Engineering? The terms “CTO” and “VP Engineering” have such stigmas associated with what they are that I’m sure some people will feel uncomfortable with the definitions I’ve put forward. The VP Engineering aspires to manage teams.

If you can't find ten people who say they'll buy it, your company is bullshit. I say "find ten people who say they'll buy." By definition, if you're a startup founder you're explicitly not your customer. If the VP of Engineering thinks the target customer is just like him/her, you're doomed. Short-sighted, no?
