” I believe that by this he means they want cash rather than equity. These traits of a software engineer are always in demand by a great number of companies. My hunch is that most good software engineers only work for cash because they don’t feel that working for equity is worth the risk of failure. Good riddance.

I also know someone else who consulted me about his website idea. Well as a programmer of many websites I find that it is easier for my clients to consult my ideas first. I do consult people, however I am not looking for work right now. And probably youre no marketing expert and salesman, either. THANK YOU!!! Insightful.

But as any programmer will tell you (I’m one), any lucrative contract or full time job you can get, especially these days, will usually leave you so burnt out by the end of the day that the last thing you will want to do is sit down and bang out more code. Not everybody can, especially if they need to run with the idea to get to market.
