Back in 1998 our CFOtried to talk me into it. Surely 1998 was a little late to arrive at the party. As if to emphasize the point, Google never did any advertising. Unless youre in a market where products are as undifferentiated as cigarettes or vodka or laundry detergent,spending a lot on brand advertising is a sign of breakage.
