I would love to get your feedback on these thoughts: 1. Don’t spend time and money on getting the word out about your product beyond what you need to do discovery and validation. My experience here says that getting Market Type/Positioning right can be the difference between success and failure for a startup.

Luckily I didn’t have to get out there and do the research myself. Confidence gives you the ability to get out there and change the world, to do the things you dream in spite of what the world thinks is possible. The only drawback is the price tag. Better yet, what does it even take to become a great entrepreneur? What is it?

Or perhaps you want to have internal performance reviews or customer satisfaction included. Remember that you almost certainly won't get this right the first time but that each year you will get close and closer to a predictable system. It should be concise and important terms should be defined.

Just as I was getting settled into Zilog, the manager of the training department got fired. (I While I was getting satisfaction from what I was learning, the sheer joy of it had diminished. I had achieved a lot by working hard, but the positive feedback I was getting just encouraged me to work even harder. Life was good.
