For angel groups, the distinction between groups and VCs on this issue is dwindling, especially as angel groups do bigger rounds of financing. You can vary both valuation and term-sheet assumptions (in the gray boxes) to assess the impact on the values of the business. This is why a bottom up approach is more credible.

I think we thought that the good product guys could get away with it because the detail of good customer service was unimportant with strong IP. In another company, the finance manger decided to cancel the software maintenance fee for the company management system since the company never called the help desk. October 2012.
