Some of the best cities to work in the US to get paid well for being a statistician are ; Connecticut, Bridgeport. California, San Francisco. New Jersey.

Other cities like New York, Boston, Seattle, LA and Austin TX also have pretty strong startup communities. In my case, I grew up in Connecticut and spent a fair amount of time in New York – all the while trying to start companies, relatively unsuccessfully. To be blunt, find a way to move to Silicon Valley.

Jeremy Howard : I'm Jeremy Howard, a research scientist at the University of San Francisco. Before that I was an equal partner in Kaggle, which is a popular data science competition community. So we left San Francisco a long time before the lockdown happened, went somewhere remote, but reasonably close to a good hospital.
