Startups die due to a variety of causes. I have witnessed startup failures that were due to predictable co-founder conflicts. You may end up a company in the difficult position of having to scale back or become defensive, due to market evolution, management blunders, or any combination. But it will still be your company.

So I recently re-shared a 2019 blog post where I’d basically advised founders who’ve raised seed capital to worry less about “how will I raise the next round” and more about “how will I execute my plan?” Are their metrics infallible and would every single person in the world agree that they’ve cracked the code? Not a chance.

With that live, you’ll be able to show other smart engineers and advisors that you’re willing to take some risk and build something. I think quick, do something, then review what I’ve learned.
