The idea was that websites (think news, blogs) could push out a regular “feed&# in an open, XML format that could be read by an RSS Reader otherwise known as a feed aggregator. The delicious bookmarking was open so that anybody could see what you had bookmarked and commonly bookmarked things could rise to the top.

I still use Delicious every day to bookmark and automatically publish content to the web via RSS and I think you should too. At the root, Delicious is a social bookmarking site, which means you can use it to find and bookmark and tag stuff all over the web. Basic bookmarking.

I use Hootsuite to coordinate my social media activity, which consists of Teten.com, PEVCTech.com , Linkedin , AngelList , and (passively) Twitter and Facebook. I use Diigo , a social bookmarking tool, to keep a record of useful websites. I have also configured IFTTT to share on Twitter anything new I post on Diigo. .
