I’ve been an avid reader of Dan’s Term Sheet while he was at Fortune , and now Pro Rata at Axios. Unless every aspect of product development is covered by founders who are only receiving equity, there are other parts of building a product that will require hiring highly qualified people.

Make sure you check and understand the term sheet and overall deal. The terms should allow you to drive in order to arrive at the first destination safely. One person cannot be the best lawyer, product developer, finance person, user experience designer, visual designer, business developer and sales person all at once.
