Online, Twitter is a great example of a community that uses reciprocity. Today it’s relatively simple to find out a lot of information about the users by having them connect to one of their social profiles using OAuth. Your startup did something nice for me and I’m going to do the same for you.

Finding the right balance of features, functionality, and privacy-preserving features is a core goal of the OpenID community. There should be some standards adopted by in the HTML5 spec that utilize these new technologies: OpenID, OAuth, ActivityStreams, etc. To James Schend I’d ask if he uses a webmail provider of any kind?
