so I feel I have an unbiased appreciation for BOTH Californias. LA was a leader in lead generation (LowerMyBills), comparison shopping (PriceGrabber, Shopzilla), social networking (MySpace … I know, I know – Facebook won – but it was still a big business). Go on, have a bit of fun down memory lane!).

My fund – at $200 million – is the largest in Southern California. LA generally doesn’t have an appetite for this kind of ‘swing-for-the-fences’ investment at early stages – and neither does your town. There are no $600 million funds in Los Angeles. LA investors are more pragmatic. In our regions?
