Do you have any idea how sweet that salary will taste to them? Any reasonable founder salary I pay myself (I’m ball-parking $70k… maybe a bit less) will already be a higher salary than I’ve ever earned in my life. Design experience also a plus. Competitive salary once we obtain funding.

At a salaried job making $80k plus benefits your time is worth around $55/hour. I’ve been a web developer for 10 years and I cringe when I see that I need a module that’s not included…there goes two hours of my day searching, configuring and installing dependencies. 50 on a slice of pizza. Market Hard.

If you’re looking for a designer, engineer, or biz marketing guy – go to meetups / conferences that those people would go to. I’m studying design. The only problem is I haven’t found a problem or an industry – web, enterprise software, green tech, etc – where I feel passionate. Product, product, product!
