This begs the question: how much time do users spend in Snapchat today compared to other social networks, and how will that number change over time? And to top it all off, Snap isn’t offering voting rights to public market investors, which should discount the stock price further. People still have to eat, work, etc.

The simple point is that if you control 51% of your company and/or the voting rights you can avoid a lot of headache and you can still be very generous with early people who join your mission. Lawsuits are on the rise. Much money is at stake and founders have been conditioned that suing is ok.

The social aspect comes in when the news stories are tagged by teams. One thing Id add: IP- and idea-defense isnt always the strategy behind the stealth tactic. Shocking, I know.

Current investors have pulled the plug until they see some type of progress, an improved management team, perhaps new investors as a vote of confidence. I can’t offer any amazing technology or IP, but I can solve a few problems by just doing it “right”, and not the way it’s being forced on people right now.

They write everything from assembly to jQuery, on PCs to mobile phones, doing hard core computer graphics to high level social networking. there are start ups who are legitimately using.net because they don’t need to look directly into the tcp/ip stack. Purchase IP from the vendors. They’ve tried everything.
