A typical VC thesis: “we invest in tech startups in Europe at an early stage” However, our experience shows that in many cases: . “Tech” means B2B Saas/Fintech or Consumer apps. For example, Point Nine Capital focuses on B2B SaaS and marketplaces at the seed stage, across many industries.

Frank + Oak (who was named innovator of the year by Canadian Business) announced the launch of its 50/50 Founders’ Fund , in partnership with General Assembly. This seed-stage fund is named 50/50 since Frank + Oak plans to grant 50 percent of the fund to female entrepreneurs and 50 percent of the fund to male entrepreneurs.

At the time, I think we didn’t even had a name for the fund. 9 that are B2B. Early Progress: Performance is a difficult thing to measure as a seed stage fund given the time horizons and the fickleness of private company valuations. We are split pretty much down the middle on consumer vs. enterprise. OUR INDUSTRY.

As many of you know, NextView is a seed-stage VC fund. We make initial investments of $250-500K in the seed rounds of software and internet startups and reserve capital for follow-on rounds.
