Talk and time are cheap, but they need to understand that investors judge past results as a good indicator of future expectations. Get a real customer and real revenue.

However, Elgg could power 100,000 networks and it would make no difference - there is no revenue stream as we give everything away under a GPL license. There are quite a few other Software Development Companies in Southern California working on open source and/or freemium business models. I understand his frustration.
