The idea of a social network inside of an organization wasn’t a thing yet so that was a little bit scary and even the linkage between healthy behaviors and saving healthcare costs and becoming more productive and being less absent and all of that, a lot of that research has emerged over the last 10 years. .

Who knows exactly how these factors combine to booststartups in Silicon Valley and squish them in Detroit, but itsclear they do from the number of startups per capita in each. Silicon Valleydominates, then Boston, then Seattle, Austin, Denver, and New York.
