Quick Background I was born in Nigeria, but mostly grew up in Dallas, TX. I’m currently coming up on my two-year anniversary as a software engineer on December 19, 2018.

I’ve been thinking about this since I first started writing code (APL) when I was 12 (ahem – 33 years ago) on a computer in the basement of a Frito-Lay data center in Dallas. One of our software engineers wrote all the code.

Now that's, it's a little bit misleading in the sense that the investment, I could write the software myself because I got a software engineering degree from mit. It's in Denver, a Chicago, a Seattle, Phoenix, and Dallas. So in some sense that was the investment, right? Learning how to code myself was the investment.
