I was in New York last week with my class at Columbia University and several events made me realize that the Customer Development model needs to better describe its fit with web-based businesses. What metrics do we use to see if we learned enough in Customer Discovery ? Almost all Web startups are dominated by market risk.

What about in Florida vs. New York? On top of the graph click on Select A Metric and choose Goal Conversion Rate. It has unique built in drill-downs, customized metrics that give you the ability to deeply analyze mobile data by devices, search behavior and content content consumption (click on each tab). Very handy.

As the son of immigrants from Cuba and Germany, Max has deep faith in the power of American ingenuity. They had an incredibly effective pressure campaign that helped ordinary citizens write their Mayor, write their governor with simple metrics like, "If we don't shut down, this many people will die." He died suddenly in Germany.

So I think the most interesting aspect of this article is how just mind-blowing that distribution is. I explained it to Washington State, because that was ground zero of the United States at the time until it was New York. We saw that in New York, for example, very connected to Italy and a lot of cases very early on.
