If youre in a market like pharmaceuticals, where all user testing can be done in a lab, execution in a bubble makes sense, but if your startup is a web product it sounds like hubris. flavor of a question-and-answer, poll-your-friends site with a distant revenue model and no user acquisition strategy. Illegal for them to operate trucks.

I wanted to work in the pure, intellectual world of software, not deal with customers mundane problems. People who dont want to get dragged into some kind ofwork often develop a protective incompetence at it. Some believe only businesspeople can do this-- that hackers can implement software, but not design it. Thats nonsense.
