Things that I do on a regular basis that could potentially be turned into business ideas include glass painting, writing, researching, jewelry making, fixing jewelry, illuminated lettering, social media training, and so on.

Aids.gov used Facebook Live to stream their International Aids Conference in South Africa. They take care of everything from the hardware to metrics and post-production. Attendees will be posting interesting parts of your event to their social media accounts. Educate with actionable advice. Yours must do the same.

While our data does apply to a US audience, the reasons for starting a business really aren’t going to be that different, whether you’re in Canada or South Africa. People will review you, people will talk about you on social media sites, people will write about you. You can do it because others are doing it.

As if massive data we have is not enough of a problem, we also rely on Averages, Percentages, Ratios and Compound/Calculated Metrics in a profoundly sub optimal way, as a drunken man uses lamp-posts – for support rather than for illumination. You saw this problem when I sorted descending or ascending for the metric bounce rate above.
